CJ SANDERS

Born in Houston, TX, CJ is the son of Chris Sanders, a former NFL wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans and Stacie Sanders, a producer/fitness spokes model, and. He first landed on the acting scene with his breakout performance in Ray (2004), playing the Young Ray Charles, a role for which he received various Best Supporting Actor and newcomer nominations, including an NCAAP Image Award nomination in 2005. Taylor Hackford has called CJ “the next Denzel Washington”, while Jamie Foxx predicts he will be a “superstar”. Since Ray, CJ has been a series regular on “Six Feet Under” (HBO) and “Saved” (TNT), and has guest starred in “Judging Amy”, “Cold Case”, and “Grey’s Anatomy”. CJ can currently be seen on the big screen in the 2008 release First Sunday, with Ice Cube and Tracey Morgan. Next up is the feature film, First Sunday, alongside Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan. Apart from acting, CJ loves quarterbacking his football team, running track and field, playing basketball and being the President of his elementary school.
